Kathleen is the writer of Glasgow Hard Tickets, Check Your Coupon, Spare Ribs, Death Of A Playboy, The Devil Wears Primark and Sex, Chips and Ouzo. Known for comedy and gag writing, Kathleen Ruddy has her own radio show called My Big Fat Arts Show on Rock FM and spends her time between UK and Cyprus. She has been involved with films and theatre that have won two Fringe Firsts, BT Award for Comedy, two Trailblazers and a Special Jury award at Cannes film festival. Film credits include A Spanking In Paradise, Macbenched and Malgaat. Future plays in the making include Skin, Bone and Hangover, Jugs, Stuff Christmas and ‘The Cut of Her Jib.

Penni has worked with Kathleen before on the 2013 tour of ‘Death Of A Playboy’ as well as the 2012 tour of ancient Greek amphitheatres in Cyprus of ‘The Devil Wears Primark’. She starred as Annie at the Adelphi Theatre, London, at the age of 10. She has since gone on to travel the world with artists such as The Sugababes, Bon Jovi, Prince, The Spice Girls and had roles in Starlight Express and Eternal Flame. Penni has made appearances on MTV and toured with Madonna, Elton John, Muse and Katy Perry as well as appearing in the X Factor and MTV awards as a fire dancer. TV appearances include Channel 4’s Shameless and Sympathy For The Devil and BBC’s Holby City. She has also performed at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London.

This is Mark’s fourth spell with Rubber Ear Productions after starring in Sex, Chips and Ouzo, Death Of A Playboy and Spare Ribs. Mark has had lead roles in Outlander and Dempocracy on TV as well as theatre and radio work for BBC Radio 4. His busy repertoire includes film and TV credits with Velvet Soup, Taggart, Nick Nickleby, Revolver, Rebus and Still Game. Mark was voted Best Actor in the 2004 International Theatre Festival Awards and has made his name in roles with Curse Of The Starving Class, Trumpets and Raspberries, The Merchant Of Venice, Six Black Candles, The Taming Of The Shrew, The Playboy Of The Western World, The Comedy Of Errors and has also performed in over 50 dramas for BBC Radio 4.

John joins Rubber Ear Productions for a third time. He skilfully portrayed a memorable, corrupt politician with a penchant for nappies and baby food in Death Of A Playboy and followed that with parts in the Spare Ribs tour of Cyprus in 2014. John has recently worked with BBC Scotland TV (Britain’s Private War) and in Border Queen for UK TV. John’s work includes theatrical roles in The Crucible, Fathers And Sons, Macbeth, The Recruiting Officer and The Owl And The Pussycat amongst many others. He is currently a postgraduate researcher in film and media at the University of Stirling, working on British Silent Cinema and the Transition to Sound 1927-1933, concentrating on screen performance.

An excellent singer, this is Dawn’s first role with Rubber Ear Productions after appearances in The Possibilities by Howard Barker and being cast as Bernie Alba in Federico Garcia Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba adapted by Rona Munro where she was given an excellent review by the Glasgow Theatre Blog. She is a regular voice-over artist and also works in children’s TV where she has just finished working on a new series with CBBC playing Linda Troll in Once Upon A Crime.
